Petition for reduced speed on McCulloch Road

Sign the petition here:

There has been a lot of talk about reducing the speed limit on McCulloch Road from 45 mph to 35 mph prompted by the high frequency of wildlife deaths. An amazing number of you (348) voted in the poll and 71% were in favor.

Because so many voted in favor, this is the petition that will be sent to Orange County requesting the speed limit be reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph along with speed radar signs to alert drivers when they exceed the speed limit.

Orange County is all about the numbers. If not enough people sign the petition, it will go nowhere. This is just one step in a process to gain approval. After this is verification McCulloch meets all the criteria which includes a traffic study. If the roadway meets the criteria, there will be a vote at the Board of County Commissioners. Please sign the petition to reduce the speed limit.

The next initiative will be to go through the same process to ask Orange County and Seminole County to add better lighting from Alafaya to N. Tanner as well as N. Tanner to Rybolt Reserve. Expect a poll and then a separate petition on that topic.

Thank you for your involvement.
